SCAFFOLD HIRE
How can I arrange a quote for scaffold hire?
Western Scaffold specialises in Kwikstage steel scaffold hire for all residential and commercial building projects.
Most jobs can be quoted off the plan, however we are available to visit the site for more complicated projects or for existing buildings that may not have plans available.

Can you visit me onsite?
Yes. Some projects can be quoted from the plan, however we will visit your site for more complicated jobs or for existing buildings where plans may not be available.
If you would like to meet us onsite to discuss your project, we are happy to do so.
After hour appointments may be available upon request.

Do I need scaffold for my building project?
WorkSafe have strict laws that all building & construction sites must obey. Heavy fines, site shut downs and legal action may be imposed by WorkSafe on Builders and Owner Builders who do not comply with WorkSafe laws.
Western Scaffold can help to ensure your site meets WorkSafe regulations and make sure your site is safe for your workers.

What level of service do you offer?
Western Scaffold is proud to offer all clients expert advise on your building project to ensure your site meets WorkSafe regulations and your trades work safely and efficiently.
Our clients are issued with their own Site Supervisor and have access to their mobile number and email address to ensure they are fully contactable.
All our scaffolders and labours are fully trained and qualified for the work they do and are appropriately supervised to ensure the highest quality of work on every site.
We endeavour to ensure all hire bookings are performed on time, however due to the nature of our work we are occasionally affected by factors beyond our control. Weather and unforeseen complications have been known to slightly delay jobs, however this is a rare occurrence and the majority of our bookings are completed on time without a hitch.
What is the minimum hire period available on scaffold hire?
Scaffold hire periods start at 2 weeks.
How far in advance do I need to book my scaffold installation?
Generally, 7-10 working days is sufficient to book your scaffold installation. During busy periods such as December and around Easter it is advised to give as much notice as possible to ensure you can secure a booking.
It is important to note, this time frame can vary depending on work load.

Can I install the scaffold myself?
We do not recommend installing a scaffold system yourself due to safety & legal reasons. Western Scaffold are fully licensed and our staff are experienced to design, install and dismantle scaffold to suit your requirements. We also carry Public Liability & WorkCover insurance.
However, if you or a contractor is fully licensed to build scaffold we are able to hire scaffold to you without our labour component. Western Scaffold does not take responsibility for any scaffold which is hired without our installation & dismantle service. Scaffold which is installed by the builder or it's contractors is the responsibility of the Builder.
Can Western Scaffold install my scaffold outside normal business hours?
If you have a specific requirement for scaffold to be installed outside business hours, weekend

I'm an Owner Builder. How can you help me?
If you are an Owner Builder for your own home or investment property, Western Scaffold can help make the scaffold hire for your project the easy part.
The key to success is often in the time it takes to complete the overall building project. A well-executed project means you pay less to the banks on interest and you or your tenants can move in as quickly as possible. It is imperative that your trades people can work as quickly, efficiently and safely as possible.
Western Scaffold will install a scaffold system that is designed with your trade’s people in mind, and assist in their workflow.
As an Owner Builder, are responsible to ensure your site complies with WorkSafe laws. If your site does not meet those obligations you risk heavy fines imposed by WorkSafe and your site may be shut down. Legal action may be brought against you personally if a person is injured on your site. Western Scaffold can help ensure your site is safe and complies with WorkSafe laws.

Do you sell only to Builders?
We sell to Builders as well as Bricklayers, Renderers, Carpenters, Painters, Owner Builders & individuals.
Will I get a discount for bulk purchases?
Yes. Western Scaffold offer discounted prices for steel and aluminium scaffold purchased in large quantities. You can benefit from huge discounts when purchasing container loads of scaffold.

Yes. Western Scaffold sell steel and aluminium scaffold to clients Australia wide and have also sold products as far as New Caledonia.
Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Hobart, Brisbane, Gold Coast, MacKay, Darwin and regional locations are all places within our reach. If there’s a Road or a Port, we can get it there!

What kind of scaffold do I need for my project?
Kwikstage or Steel Modular Scaffold
- Heavy duty steel scaffold used on the perimeter of residential and commercial building projects
- Required for all 2 storey plus building projects
- Bricklayers, Renderers, Cladding installers, Carpenters all need this scaffold when working on 2 storey plus projects.
- Scaffold can also be built to allow safe access for Roofers, Window, Guttering & facia installers and any trades requiring access from 2nd storey upwards
Props
- Economic & versatile temporary support solution constructed from heavy duty steel
- Supports falsework, holds beams & brickwork in place and used when repairing damaged permanent supports
Aluminium Mobile Towers
- Versatile & efficient scaffolding solution where lightweight and mobile access tower is required for internal and external use.
- Used for access between 1.6m to 7.5m high for lightweight to medium duty work
- Made up of aluminium components that make these towers easy to store and transport.
- Used by Painters, Electricians, Plasterers, Maintenance workers, Window Cleaners & Installers and anyone requiring safe access above 1.6m.
Stair Access Towers
- Can be incorporated within your Kwikstage scaffold system or as a stand alone unit.
- 1.5m stair rises come with handrails
Aluminium Trestles, Planks & Ladders
- Aluminium trestles, planks & ladders required for lightweight work and as a part of your overall scaffold solution.
- Used by painters, plasterers, electricians, maintenance, window cleaners & installers and anyone requiring access between 1.2m – 4.8m high.
Is my existing Kwikstage scaffold compatible with yours?
Yes. Kwikstage scaffold is a Modular Scaffold system and fully compatible with our product. All items are fully interchangeable and can be easily integrated into your existing Kwikstage scaffold stocks.
What are the various prop sizes available?
Props are available in 5 sizes spanning between 1067mm – 4876mm and have a variety of working load limits.

What are your business hours?
Our office hours are 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (excluding Public Holidays & Christmas period).
Our scaffolders work onsite between 7:30am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday.

What are your payment methods?
We gladly accept cash, EFT payments and Company Cheque (3 day clearance period applies).
Builders may also apply for a Credit Account. Please email us if you would like an account application form to be sent to you. Applications are processed within 5 business days, and are subject to approval.
How do I get a job with Western Scaffold?

Can I hire your scaffolders to install my scaffold on my site?
Our scaffolders work exclusively on Western Scaffold sites and unavailable for labour only hire.
